Picture Dr. Weymouth's Tudor‑style home rising in 1936, the house that welcomes you today as the Ivy Manor Inn, opened in 1997. Step closer and you can feel how its timbered lines and stone touches were meant to read as home first and hospitality second. Today it offers eighteen rooms, including six cottages, and the William Tell Lounge—a whiskey, wine and beer bar open to the public—still welcomes visitors.
For a long stretch the inn was shaped by Judi and Bob Stanley, who ran it for sixteen years from 1996 to 2012, moved to Sarasota for four years to be near their daughter Michelle Ettinger (for whom the inn was once named) and her children, and during their stewardship took the restaurant to a AAA Four Diamond rating. They returned in 2016, accepted an offer the next year, and later opened Pascone’s Ristorante in July 2018 in Sarasota. Under new ownership the restaurant was eliminated, and in the spring of 2019 six Tudor cabins were built and the dining room converted to guest rooms.
