Casino Del Sol Stadium, known as Arizona Stadium until 2025, is the University of Arizona's football bowl in central Tucson. This is the home field of the Arizona Wildcats of the Big 12 Conference. The University announced on November 17, 2025 a 20 year naming rights deal with the Pascua Yaqui Tribe, renaming the venue Casino Del Sol Stadium.
The bowl first opened as Arizona Stadium on October 12, 1929 at a cost of $166,888. Originally built in 1929 to hold 7,000 spectators, the first game here was a 35–0 shutout of Caltech on that October day. Seating was only on the west side then; capacity grew over the decades, rising to 10,000 in 1938 when new seats were added, and expanding repeatedly so that as of 2022 the stadium lists a total capacity of 50,800.
The facility is more than stands and turf: it houses the offices of the Wildcat football program and some non-athletic academic offices, including the Steward Observatory Mirror Lab. Notice the seating that now holds 50,800, and the offices housed here, including the Steward Observatory Mirror Lab.
