One Morrie Silver Way in downtown Rochester, New York, brings you to ESL Ballpark, originally known as Frontier Field and later Innovative Field. This is the home of the Rochester Red Wings of the International League, a tenancy that began in 1997. The park itself opened in 1996, built to replace Silver Stadium out in northern Rochester — a site that had hosted professional baseball in this city since 1929.

Naming the place has its own history: Frontier Telephone of Rochester held the naming rights from the ballpark’s 1996 opening until the 2022 baseball offseason; an agreement in December 2015 had intended to extend that name for ten more years, but on October 24, 2022 a new deal was reached with Innovative Solutions, a Henrietta-based information technology firm, after Frontier sought cutbacks following its bankruptcy in 2020.
