Picture the Arkansas River just ahead, where bars, shops, restaurants, and public artwork line the walkways of the River Market District around the Ottenheimer Market Hall. Lined with bars, shops, restaurants, swaths of nature, public artwork and the five historic missions, this corner of the city has been shaped into an entertainment district and a tourist attraction in its own right. At its heart is the Ottenheimer Market Hall, built in 1996 as part of the city's urban revitalization; it was refurbished in 2014 to house a number of vendors, and the city's weekly farmers' market gathers at the market pavilion.
Walk east and you'll find the William J. Clinton Presidential Library and Museum, built in 2004, along with the Cox Creative Center, the Museum of Discovery, the Bobby L. Roberts Library of Arkansas History & Art, the Riverfest Amphitheater, Riverfront Park and the Arkansas River Trail. Both of Little Rock's historic streetcar lines, the Green Line and the Blue Line, run through the district, threading transit through these attractions. Listen for the Green and Blue Line streetcars threading past the Ottenheimer Market Hall on their way toward the river and the presidential library beyond.
