Picture Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark packed with fans cheering on the Triple-A Oklahoma City Comets. This park replaced All Sports Stadium and now is home to the Oklahoma City Comets, the Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers Major League Baseball team. It has seating for up to 13,066 fans, and for OKC games it currently uses a capacity of 9,000.
Walk the promenade in your mind and you’ll feel the place shaped by seasons of sport: the Phillips 66 Big 12 baseball tournament was played here from 2005 to 2021, with the exceptions of 2015 and 2020 — the first Big 12 tournament was at All Sports Stadium in 1997 before moving here in 1998. The ballpark also regularly hosts Bedlam Series games between the Oklahoma Sooners and the Oklahoma State Cowboys.
Beyond professional baseball, the venue stages the Oklahoma High School Baseball Series in March, WinterFest snow tubing November–January, and an array of community walks and runs, concerts, parties, corporate outings, meetings and seminars. Remember, this place grew from civic choice: Oklahoma City voters approved a temporary one-cent sales tax increase in December 1993 to fund the Metropolitan Area Projects that helped make it possible. Imagine the one-cent tax vote in 1993 that helped build the stadium beneath you.
