Picture the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center, formerly the State Farm Show Arena, known simply as the Farm Show. This large exhibition center and indoor arena in Harrisburg is primarily used for concerts, agricultural exhibitions, the Pennsylvania Farm Show and indoor football, and it hosts more than 200 other exhibits and trade shows every year. The complex covers 60 acres, with 24 acres under roof spread across 11 connected buildings, including three arenas.
The Main Hall is 146,527 square feet and was built in 1931. The GIANT Exposition Hall is 172,000 square feet, built in 2001 and originally named Weis Exposition Hall. The New Holland Arena has 28,000 square feet at floor, 7,318 seats, was designed by architect Edmund George Good Jr., and was completed in 1939, originally named the Large Arena.
The Equine Arena offers 39,200 square feet at floor with 1,660 seats and was built in 2001. A Small Arena provides 4,000 square feet at floor with 918 seats, and the North, Northeast, Northwest and West Halls add another 187,600 square feet.
